Introduction
OMG 2 is a 2023 Hindi comedy-drama film that tackles the taboo topic of sex education in India with wit and humor. It is a spiritual sequel to OMG – Oh My God! Overview of OMG 2
The film follows the story of Kanti Sharan Mudgal (Pankaj Tripathi), a devout follower of Lord Shiva, who runs a shop near the Mahakaal Temple in Ujjain. His life turns upside down when his son Vivek (Aarush Varma) is caught masturbating in the school washroom and expelled for obscenity. Kanti soon learns that his son was a victim of misinformation and peer pressure, as he was bullied by his classmates for having a small penis size and advised to take pills and drugs to increase it. The biology teacher at the school also refused to answer any questions related to sex and reproduction, leaving the students in the dark.
Kanti decides to fight for his son’s dignity and justice and files a case against the school and the culprits. He also demands that sex education be made compulsory in schools so that children can learn about their bodies and sexuality in a scientific and respectful manner. He is supported by a young and fiery lawyer Kamini Maheshwari (Yami Gautam Dhar), who believes in his cause. However, he faces opposition from the school authorities, the conservative society, and his own friend Pandey Ji (Govind Namdev), a priest at the temple who considers sex education as a sin.
Meanwhile, Kanti also receives divine help from Lord Shiva himself, who sends his messenger (Akshay Kumar) to guide him through his ordeal. The messenger appears as a vagabond who roams around the city, spreading awareness and wisdom about sex and spirituality. He also performs miracles and pranks to expose the hypocrisy and corruption of the people who oppose Kanti.

OMG 2 is a film that challenges the stereotypes and myths about sex and religion in India and shows how they can coexist harmoniously. The film is full of hilarious scenes and dialogues that make fun of the ignorance and superstition of society. The film also has some emotional moments that touch upon the father-son relationship, the importance of communication, and the value of self-esteem.
The film boasts of brilliant performances by the lead actors, especially Pankaj Tripathi, who portrays Kanti with sincerity and charm. He carries the film on his shoulders with his impeccable comic timing and expressions. Akshay Kumar is also impressive as the messenger of Lord Shiva, who brings a lot of energy and charisma to his role. He also has some amazing dance sequences in the film, which are a treat to watch. Yami Gautam Dhar is also convincing as Kamini, who plays Kanti’s ally and love interest. She has a strong screen presence and chemistry with Tripathi.
The film also has a catchy soundtrack composed by various artists like Vikram Montrose, Hansraj Raghuwanshi, Djstrings, Pranaay, Sandesh Shandilya, etc. The songs are catchy and relevant to the theme of the film. Some of the songs like “Bolo Har Har Har”, “Mast Mast”, “Shiv Tandav”, “Oh My God”, etc. are already popular among the audience.
OMG 2 is a film that deserves to be watched by everyone, as it educates and entertains at the same time. It is a rare film that dares to talk about sex education in India in a positive and progressive way. It is a film that celebrates life, love, and laughter.
